We run a computerised system to issue repeat prescriptions which have been agreed with your doctor. If you are taking a regular course of medication, repeat prescriptions can be obtained by ringing the dispensary on 01482 896826 between 9.00am and 12.30pm and 1.30pm and 4.30pm. An answerphone is available at all other times for you to leave your prescription request.
Alternatively you can submit the right side of your prescription slip to reorder either at the Keyingham or Hedon surgeries, or online via the form on this website.
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
If you live more than a mile from a chemist, you may obtain your medicines from our dispensary. This generally means everyone except those in Hedon, Thorngumbald, Bilton and parts of Preston.
Free prescriptions are available for the following:
- patients over retirement age
- under 16
- under 19 if in full-time education
- pregnant ladies
- mothers who have had a child in the last 12 months
- patients receiving: income support, Working Tax Credit Child Tax Credit, Disabled Pension
- certain medical conditions qualify
If you are unsure please ask.
For those who need a number of prescriptions and who pay for them, it may be worth investigating the purchase of a ‘season ticket’. Further details can be obtained from leaflet P11 available from the dispensary, chemists, Post Offices or DSS offices. All must be signed. Exemption must be seen.
