STAFF TRAINING

Please note that we close for staff training four afternoons per year. If you have an emergency during this time please call the Out of Hours Service on 111.

NHS Healthtrainer Service


The east riding health trainer service is dedicated to help provide support, guidance and motivation to individuals who want to make positive long term lifestyle changes, supporting individuals who wish to stop smoking, lose weight, get more physically active, reduce alcohol consumption, reduce stress and anxiety and improve their general wellbeing.


The service will link closely with general practices, local neighbourhood, community development initiatives and will build on existing community/voluntary infrastructures. The programme will link with other health promotion initiatives, services and organisations throughout the Holderness Area.


The NHS healthtrainer service is available to adults aged 18 or above who live within the East Riding of Yorkshire.


The NHS healthtrainers will be holding weekly clinics in the Hedon area.
